Refund Policy

Version 2.0 ยท Effective August 22, 2026

1. Purpose

This Refund Policy defines how HostSteps reviews cancellation and refund requests. Eligibility depends on the purchased service, provisioning state, billing event, usage, third-party costs and any service-specific terms shown at order time.

2. Initial-Purchase Window

Where an order expressly offers an initial refund window, a request must be submitted within that stated period. A general reference to a refund window does not override exclusions in this Policy or service-specific terms.

3. Non-Refundable or Restricted Items

Unless an order states otherwise, fees already committed to third parties or irreversibly consumed may be non-refundable. This can include domain registration, renewal or transfer fees; licenses; certificates; telecommunications charges; setup or migration work already performed; custom development; professional services already delivered; one-time activation fees; and consumed infrastructure or usage charges.

4. Renewals

Renewal charges are generally not refundable after the renewal or third-party commitment has been processed, except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in the applicable order.

5. Abuse, Fraud and Breach

No refund is owed for periods during which a service is suspended or terminated because of fraud, chargeback abuse, prohibited activity, material policy breach or unlawful use, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

6. Service Credits

SLA service credits are not cash refunds unless the applicable SLA expressly says otherwise. Credits are applied according to the SLA and cannot be duplicated with another remedy for the same service-impact event unless required by law.

7. Request Process

Refund requests must identify the account, order or invoice and the reason for the request. HostSteps may request reasonable information needed to verify eligibility. Approved refunds are returned, where practicable, to the original payment method or otherwise handled through an approved billing method.

8. Processing and Currency

Bank, payment-processor and currency-conversion timelines are outside HostSteps' direct control. Exchange-rate differences and external transaction fees may affect the final amount received.

9. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Policy limits non-waivable consumer or statutory rights that apply to the transaction.

10. Contact

Refund requests may be submitted through the customer support channel or to support@hoststeps.com.
